About Fergus

Fergus V. Keyes is a 5th generation Canadian of Irish descent who was born and raised in Montréal. He is a senior business executive with dual qualifications in the area of Board of Directors & Governance, as well as the Safety & Security Industry.

A Chartered Director (C.Dir.) graduate from the Director's College at McMaster University (founded by the Degroote School of Business and the Conference Board of Canada), he is a specialist in Board and Governance issues who is qualified to be a member of a Board of Directors for Public, Private and Not-for-Profit operations.

He also has a second specialty in Safety and Security and is designated as both Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and a Certified Security Professional (CSP).

An experienced, senior business executive with more than 30 years of national and international business knowledge and experience. He is Past Chairman of the Board of two large institutions – one in the Arts, the other one in Health Care field, as well as the Interim National Chair; Québec Chair & a member of the National Board of Directors of the Canadian Society for Industrial Security.

He currently sits on the Board of The Centaur Theatre; The Alzheimer's Society - Montreal; A Board Committee for the CSSS Cavendish, as well as, The Montreal Irish Monument Foundation.

He is a past Chairman & member of the Board of a local History Society.

He is also a past member of the Institute of Corporate Directors ( Institut des Administrateurs des sociétés) and founding member of the PSC Community Theatre.
